Olivia Rittenburg
Olivia Rittenburg is an energetic and eclectic instructor with more than ten years of experience teaching piano. Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, she grew up mostly self taught until her teenage years when she began studying classical music rigorously and working with young students.
Olivia’s teaching style is gentle and encouraging, with an early emphasis on ear training and music theory. She seeks to settle into a unique role for each of her students, finding the necessary balance between structure and guidance with freedom and play. She has made over one hundred personalized arrangements at the request of students, from Billboard pop songs to video game scores.
She attended Berklee College of Music from 2017-2022, graduating with a BM in Contemporary Writing and Production and Music Technology with piano as her principle instrument. As a producer and songwriter she has released two albums and two EPs in the span of her career, and is currently signed to a distribution deal with startup company Too Lost. She also plays worship services at her local church.
In recent years Olivia has also added voice, guitar and songwriting to her pedagogy resume. As a teacher her main priority is to create a safe yet rigorous environment for students to find their own voice while laying technical foundations.
