Mateo Rodriguez Sandoval
Mateo Rodriguez is a composer, orchestrator, producer, guitar and saxophone player from Bogota, Colombia. After earning a degree in guitar performance in his hometown, Mateo was awarded one of the Berklee World Tour Scholarships in 2017. At Berklee he majored in Film Scoring and graduated with honors in December 2021. His teaching style focuses on the goals of the student.
Mateo identifies what the goals are with the help of the student and designs a detailed and personalized plan in order to teach the student what is necessary to reach those goals. He has 10 years of teaching experience and is very passionate about mentoring and teaching all age groups and levels, always leading students to believe in their abilities and keep a positive mindset. Rodriguez has prepared multiple students for auditions in different schools and bands, including Berklee College of Music with a 100% acceptance rate of the students that he prepared for the audition.
Mateo currently resides in Los Angeles, works for film composer Yuval Ron and leads his own solo project under the name M.A.R.S. In this project he plays guitar, saxophone, composes and mixes all songs. M.A.R.S is steadily gaining popularity across all streaming platforms.
