Maeve Chiarella
Maeve Chiarella is a Brooklyn-based vocalist, pianist, and music educator with a passion for helping students of all levels connect deeply with their musical voice. A graduate of Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Songwriting, Maeve brings a rich blend of professional performance experience, technical expertise, and compassionate teaching to every lesson.
While at Berklee, Maeve studied under Grammy Award-winning artist Paula Cole, who praised her for weaving “complex lyrics and distinct genres into a fascinating, original web.” This mentorship helped shape Maeve’s unique sound, which blends theatrical indie jazz, pop, and improvisational influences. She has performed at venues including The Rockwell, The Burren, Rockwood Music Hall, and the Boston Center for the Arts. Maeve has also been a featured vocalist at Boston’s Loring Greenough House, a choral singer with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, and the leader of award-winning ensembles, including a group that raised over $22,000 for Boston Children’s Hospital in a citywide Battle of the Bands.
As a teacher, Maeve offers private instruction in both voice and piano for students of all ages. Her lessons are rooted in strong technical foundations such as breath control, vocal technique, ear training, and piano accompaniment. At the same time, she emphasizes confidence-building, artistic expression, and joy. She creates a student-centered environment where musicians can grow at their own pace, whether preparing for auditions, recitals, or simply discovering their musical passion. Maeve’s wide vocal range (soprano to baritone), 12+ years of classical piano training, and fluency in multiple genres allow her to tailor each lesson to the unique needs and goals of her students. From beginners to seasoned performers, Maeve brings warmth, clarity, and encouragement to every session. She believes music is for everyone, and she’s here to help you find your voice and grow with it.
