Joey Farber

Joey Farber is a musician from New York City and a graduate of Berklee College of Music currently living in Los Angeles. He is a multi-instrumentalist and singer, specializing in electric bass, piano and guitar.

At the age of 7, he began performing with his parents - both of whom are Grammy nominated and have composed for TV and film, as well as recording and performing with artists including Billy Joel, Jon Bon Jovi, and Gregg Allmann.

Joey quickly gained some professional experience of his own, recording national jingles for television and radio and making appearances on the David Letterman Show and Saturday Night Live, where he sang with Paul McCartney. Despite these experiences, he remained confident that he would become a professional baseball player for many years. While playing somewhat poorly for his high school team, he began to consider other possibilities and ended up at Berklee College of Music, where he majored in Contemporary Writing and Production.

Over the years Joey has studied with many incredible teachers including Mike Visceglia (bass – Suzanna Vega, Bruce Springsteen), Lauren Kinhan (voice – New York Voices), Viktor Krauss (bass – Lyle Lovett, Dolly Parton) and Victor Wooten. He can’t wait to share all the lessons and inspiration he learned from these great musicians! Joey loves many styles of music, with some notable influences being Stevie Wonder, Justin Timberlake, The Allman Brothers, and Bruno Mars.

He remains excited and dedicated to a future in composing, arranging, teaching and performing unless the New York Mets come calling, in which case he may have to go help them out.
