Heng Li Chong
Chong Heng Li is a pianist, music producer, violin player and dedicated educator with more than 7 years of experience teaching to students of all ages and backgrounds. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Composition from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music and a Master of Arts in Creative Media & Technology (Songwriting and Production) from BerkleeNYC.
His academic and professional work have given him a strong foundation in both traditional and contemporary practices, allowing him to bridge the worlds of classical performance, music theory, and modern production. As a performer, Heng Li brings the sensitivity and discipline of classical piano to his teaching, instilling in students a solid technical base and an expressive approach to music-making.
As a producer, his work draws on electronic music that blends math rock with melodic bass, giving him unique insight into the creative and technical aspects of modern sound design and composition. This versatility across genres allows him to connect with students who have a wide variety of musical interests, from classical repertoire and theory to contemporary songwriting and production.​
