Gudy Prada

Gudy is a versatile drummer and mix engineer raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He started his drumming journey at 12, beginning formal studies in 2007 in Saladillo, Buenos Aires. He later attended the "Escuela de Música Contemporánea" (EMC), graduating in 2016. At EMC, Gudy was part of the "Project Band", and frequently collaborated with professors and artists on various projects.

His academic excellence earned him a scholarship to represent EMC at the "VI Congreso Latinoamericano de Escuelas de Música (CLAEM)" in São Paulo, Brazil. At the same time, he studied Music Production and Engineering at CEARTEC, graduating in 2018. In 2022, he received another scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he graduated in 2024.

As a session musician, Gudy works with solo artists, handles productions and recording sessions, and do remote drum sessions. He performed as a percussionist in the Ibero-American premiere of "Die Soldaten" (Zimmerman), directed by Baldur Brönnimann at the well known “Teatro Colón” in 2016. His collaboration roster includes artists like León Gieco, Connie Isla, and Víctor Heredia. He has also worked with producer Marcelo Predacino, who auditioned him for Abel Pinto’s' band, one Argentina’s biggest singer-songwriter. Gudy had his private studio in Buenos Aires, where he offered remote drum recordings and teaching as well. In the US, Gudy has performed alongside GRAMMY winners Erika Ender and Chucho Valdés at the 2024 “Gateway to Greatness” gala with the Orchestra of the Américas Group. He toured Europe in 2023, playing at festivals such as “Muni Jazz” in Spain and venues like the “Jamboree Club.” Gudy has also been active as a recording and mixing engineer in Boston, contributing to a range of albums and projects. He thrives on collaborating with artists to elevate each song and album through a methodical and practical way that he still develop these days. His versatility is a key asset, enabling him to adapt to diverse roles, and that keeps him busy these days.
