Bruno Oliveira

Bruno Oliveira is a Brazilian composer, orchestrator, and guitarist based in Los Angeles. He began his music career as a heavy metal guitarist in Brazil. In parallel, he also studied classical guitar, piano, and composition and began working as a composer for small game projects. While in Brazil he attended the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) to study Classical Guitar and the Faculdades Integradas Barros Melo to study Music Production.

In 2017 he moved to the United States to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music. Still while attending Berklee he scored the Chinese drama “Super Density”, some minor game projects, and started to provide orchestrations for metal bands.

He graduated from Berklee in December 2019 magna cum laude with a degree in Film Scoring and a minor in Video Game Scoring. He moved to Los Angeles in January 2020 and since then have worked as a composer in several short films and orchestrator for metal bands. Some of his works include the soundtrack of the short films “Circular Ruins” and “Giraffe”, which both get important awards in the festival circuit. His orchestration works include the orchestration of “Eternal Flame”, the second album from the power metal NorthTale, released by Nuclear Blast Records, and additional orchestration for James LaBrie's (Dream Theater) upcoming album “Beautiful Shade of Gray”. As recently, he started to collaborate with some important libraries of production music in the Los Angeles area.

He recently joined the emerging symphonic metal band FireWing as both guitarist and orchestrator and had their first album “Resurrection” released in 2021 via Massacre Records.
