Austin Leshock

Austin Leshock is a mix engineer, producer, composer, saxophonist, and keyboard player from Wilmington, Delaware based in Austin, Texas. During his time at Berklee College of Music, he gained over four years of experience as a peer tutor in music theory and graduated Summa Cum Laude with degrees in Film Scoring and Music Production and Engineering. He was also the recipient of the Daniel Edge Memorial Scholarship.

Austin began his career as a recording and mix engineer at the Mix Loft Recording Studio in Quincy, Massachusetts, where he worked across a wide range of genres from hip-hop to afrobeat to indie rock, with various Boston artists including Fari X, Juliera, Sanat Kumara, and Summer in the Attic. Alongside mixing and recording, he also taught private lessons in audio engineering through the studio.

In Boston, Austin also joined Wavyrn Audio, an emerging game and film audio company, where he works as a composer and mix engineer. His credits there include mixing soundtracks for games and short films such as Beat Tender, Broadway Blues, and Resurgence of the Storm, a notable fan-made sequel to Heroes of the Storm. His freelance work spans film scoring and music production, including the upcoming feature film 4 Clones Alone by Maximillian Remmler, and an orchestral production of “Shh” by Theo Evan, Cyprus’s 2025 Eurovision representative, for the official Eurovision: A Little Bit More showcase. Aside from his work in the studio, he regularly performs with local Boston Latin Hip-Hop band, FM Collective on saxophone, keyboard, and key bass.

As a lifelong student of music whose hunger for learning is fueled by his desire to understand and internalize the music that inspires him, Austin recognizes that in order for music education to deeply connect to each and every student, it needs to be firmly rooted in the music they hold close to their heart. Rather than approaching music abstractly, Austin connects concepts to the art from which they were derived, combining his deep technical knowledge and passion to create personalized teaching methods that value each student’s unique musical identity and influences.
